VETERANS
Scenario 1:
I am a military veteran.
I do not have a service connected disability.
I was not awarded a purple heart.
I have not been a prisoner of war.
I was honorably discharged, but did not retire.
I am not currently either a member of the reserves or Individual Ready Reserve.
In January and September, we are able to extend limited services to all honorably discharged veterans.
If you are staying here at Shades of Green in one of those two months under the “Salute Our Veterans” program, you can purchase tickets from us before your arrival (up to 30 days prior to your check in) by submitting a ticket request through our website.
If you are not staying here at Shades of Green, you can purchase tickets from us in person in January or September. We cannot sell you tickets other than in person as we do not have the capacity to support the very large veteran population.
The tickets you can buy as an honorably discharged veteran do not include the Disney Promotional tickets (also known as “Salute” or “Disney Celebrates America”) and the Universal Freedom Passes.
Again, we can ONLY sell to you in January or September, and the purchase MUST BE IN PERSON (unless you are staying here at Shades of Green in one of those two months).
Scenario 2:
I have a service connected disability, Purple Heart Award, Medal of Honor or I have formerly been a prisoner of war.
I have a VHIC card from the VA that says either “Service Connected”, “Purple Heart”, "Medal of Honor" or “Former POW”.
My VHIC card is not expired.
I was discharged but did not retire.
I am not 100% disabled.
I am not currently either a member of the reserves or Individual Ready Reserve.
We can sell tickets to you under the “Purple Heart and Disabled Veterans Equal Access Act”.
You cannot buy the Disney Promotional tickets (also known as “Salute” or “Disney Celebrates America”) and the Universal Freedom Passes.
Scenario 3:
I am 100% disabled due to my service.
I have an ID card from a DEERS / RAPIDS office that says “100% DAVPRM” or “100% Disabled American Veteran”.
My ID card is not expired.
All of our ticket products are available to you.
Please note that if you do NOT have your ID card from DEERS / RAPIDS, we cannot sell you include the Disney Promotional tickets (also known as “Salute” or “Disney Celebrates America”) and the Universal Freedom Passes. Please go to a DEERS / RAPIDS office to get your ID card. We will not accept benefit letters as proof of 100% disability.
Special note if you served in NOAA or PHS: You cannot purchase the Universal Freedom Passes.
Scenario 4:
I am 100% disabled due to my service.
I have a VHIC card that says "Service Connected"
I DO NOT have an ID card from a DEERS / RAPIDS office that says “100% DAVPRM” or “100% Disabled American Veteran”.
My ID card is not expired.
We can sell tickets to you under the “Purple Heart and Disabled Veterans Equal Access Act”.
You cannot buy the Disney Promotional tickets (also known as “Salute” or “Disney Celebrates America”) and the Universal Freedom Passes. Please go to a DEERS / RAPIDS office to get your ID card.

Scenario 5:
I am retired from service (including medically retired).
I have an ID card from a DEERS / RAPIDS office that says “Retired”.
My ID card is not expired.
All of our ticket products are available to you.
Special note if you served in NOAA or PHS: You cannot purchase the Universal Freedom Passes.
Scenario 6:
I am a member of the Individual Ready Reserves.
I have an ID card that states “Reserves”.
My ID card is not expired.
All of our ticket products are available to you.
ACTIVE DUTY, RESERVES, NATIONAL GUARD
Scenario 1:
I am currently active duty or an actively drilling reservist (includes National Guard).
I have a CAC card.
My ID card is not expired.
All of our ticket products are available to you.
Special note if you are serving NOAA or PHS: You cannot purchase the Universal Freedom Passes.
FOREIGN MILITARY
Scenario 1:
I am a Foreign Affiliate service member.
I have a CAC card.
My ID card is not expired.
Most of our ticket products are available to you.
You cannot buy the Disney Promotional tickets (also known as “Salute” or “Disney Celebrates America”) or the Universal Freedom Passes.
Scenario 2:
I am a current or former member of a foreign military service.
I do not have a Foreign Affiliate CAC card.
We cannot sell tickets to you.
DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE CIVILIANS (EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND RETIREES)
Scenario 1:
I am a current DoD Civilian (includes Coast Guard Civilian).
I have a CAC card.
My ID card is not expired.
Most of our ticket products are available to you.
You cannot buy the Disney Promotional tickets (also known as “Salute” or “Disney Celebrates America”).
Scenario 2:
I am a current DoD Contractor.
I have a CAC card.
My ID card is not expired.
Most of our ticket products are available to you.
You cannot buy the Disney Promotional tickets (also known as “Salute” or “Disney Celebrates America”) and the Universal Freedom Passes.
Scenario 3:
I am a retired DoD Civilian (includes Coast Guard Civilian).
I have my SF-50.
Most of our ticket products are available to you.
You cannot buy the Disney Promotional tickets (also known as “Salute” or “Disney Celebrates America”) or the Universal Freedom Passes.
Scenario 4:
I am a current or retired VA employee.
We cannot sell tickets to you.
Scenario 5:
I am a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
We cannot sell tickets to you. Please check with the ticket office at the Coast Guard installation where you are assigned.
FAMILY MEMBERS
Scenario 1:
I am a surviving spouse of a deceased service member.
My spouse was either active duty, retired, or 100% service connected disabled at the time of death.
I have an ID card that states “Spouse” or “DEC-DB”.
My ID card is not expired.
All of our ticket products are available to you.
Scenario 2:
I am a surviving spouse of a deceased veteran.
My spouse was not retired or 100% service connected disabled at the time of death.
I have no spouse ID card.
We cannot sell tickets to you.
Scenario 3:
I am a divorced spouse.
I qualify for MWR benefits under the “20/20/20” rule.
I have an ID card that states “DoD Beneficiary”.
Most of our ticket products are available to you.
You cannot buy the Disney Promotional tickets (also known as “Salute” or “Disney Celebrates America”) or the Universal Freedom Passes.
Scenario 4:
I am a child dependent or parent dependent (not spouse).
I have an ID card that states “Dependent”.
My ID card is not expired.
Most of our ticket products are available to you.
You cannot buy the Disney Promotional tickets (also known as “Salute” or “Disney Celebrates America”) or the Universal Freedom Passes.
Scenario 5:
My child is the dependent of a service member.
I do not have an ID card.
My child has an ID card that states “Dependent”.
My child’s ID card is not expired.
If your child is under the age of 18, you can purchase tickets on their behalf.

You cannot buy the Disney Promotional tickets (also known as “Salute” or “Disney Celebrates America”) or the Universal Freedom Passes.
Scenario 6:
I am a caregiver.
I have a letter from the VA Office of Community Care.
The letter is current.
Most of our ticket products are available to you.
You cannot buy the Disney Promotional tickets (also known as “Salute” or “Disney Celebrates America”) or the Universal Freedom Passes.
Scenario 7:
I am a Gold Star family member (not a spouse or a dependent).
I do not have an ID card (other than perhaps an installation access card).
We cannot sell tickets to you.
Please check with the ticket office at your local base if you have been granted installation access to attend base events and receive support from the Military and Family Readiness Center.
Scenario 8:
I am a child or grandchild of a service member.
I do not have an ID card.
We cannot sell tickets to you.
