What is Genie+?

Genie+ is a service provided by Disney that allows guests to book return times for rides so that they can avoid long standby lines. The service can be purchased through the "My Disney Experience" app any time after midnight on the day of your visit to the park. Can I buy Genie+ here?

Genie+ can only be purchased using the My Disney Experience app. It can be purchased any time after midnight on the day of your visit to the park.

How much does Genie+ cost?

Genie+ cost varies on a daily basis and is different depending on which park you are visiting.  It ranges between $15 and $35 per day for each person.

How does Genie+ work?

Genie+ allows you to book a return time (known as a "Lightning Lane" reservation) for a ride to reduce the amount of time you will spend in line.  You can only book one ride at a time, or one ride every two hours (whichever period is shorter).  For example, if you book the Jungle Cruise at 10 am and your return time is 3pm, you will be able to book another ride at noon. 

Depending on the popularity of a particular ride, all of the Lightning Lane reservations may book up quite early in the day.
