It depends on what type of ticket you are buying, and when you are visiting.
We usually recommend purchasing tickets no more than 3 months in advance, with the exception of special event tickets like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party or Very Merry Christmas Party.
Our tickets are not refundable if your plans or circumstances change, so it is best to wait until closer to your trip to make your purchase.
Buying your tickets too far in advance can also mean that you might miss out on special offers if any come available closer to your trip.
Disney
If you are planning to visit the Disney parks, we recommend submitting your ticket order about 2 weeks in advance of your trip. If you will be visiting during a peak period (spring break, summer vacation, Halloween, Christmas), please try to send in your ticket order about 60 days in advance.
If you're traveling soon, you may still have time to get your tickets before your arrival. It usually takes us a few days to call you and email your tickets. When you submit your ticket request, you will get an email stating our current turnaround for new ticket orders.
For non-dated tickets (Military Promotional Tickets) Disney requires park reservations in addition to having a valid ticket. You cannot make park reservations until you have your tickets. Most of the time, reservations are available even for same day bookings, but on rare occasions there might be no park reservations available. This is typically due to a private event, or perhaps on an exceptionally busy day like July 4th.
Disney Special Event Tickets
Disney offers special event tickets during certain times of year, notably Halloween and Christmas.
For special event tickets, we recommend making your purchase as soon as the tickets are available. Some dates will sell out more quickly than others.
Universal
Universal Studios tickets can be bought any time up to and including the day you plan to visit. Universal requires a specific start date for tickets, other than the Military Freedom Pass.
Legoland
Legoland does not require park reservations. Tickets can be purchased any time up to and including the day you plan to visit.
Other Attractions Requiring Reservations
Discovery Cove is very popular during the hot summer months, and we recommend purchasing your tickets about 60 days in advance.
Medieval Times requires reservations, and it is recommended to buy your tickets at least 30 days in advance, especially if you want to take advantage of the free Royalty Upgrade, which is limited in quantity.
Boggy Creek Airboat Rides longer than 30 minutes require advance reservations, and we recommend purchasing your tickets at least two weeks prior to your visit.
Kennedy Space Center tours are limited in quantity and we recommend buying your tickets about 30 days in advance.
