Only certain categories of service members are eligible to purchase tickets labeled as "Military Promotional". These are deeply discounted tickets and the rules of sale governing who can purchase these tickets are determined by the theme park or company offering the promotion. Below are the complete rules for purchasing the Disney Military Promotional Ticket.
Who Qualifies to Purchase?
- active duty service members
- retired service members with 20+ years of military service
- medically retired service members
- 100% disabled veterans (must have a Uniformed Services ID card)
- active reservists
- members of the Commissioned Corps of the PHS and NOAA
- Foreign Military Affiliates
Spouses (with valid ID) are eligible to purchase these tickets, but any tickets purchased by the spouse count against the allotment of 6 tickets per year for the sponsor.
All service members and spouses MUST have a Uniformed Services ID card to purchase the Military Promotional tickets.
How Many Can Be Purchased?
A maximum of 6 tickets per Service Member or Spouse (not both) can be purchased per promotional year.
If you need more than 6 tickets, you can purchase the 'Magic Your Way' tickets for your additional guests. "Magic Your Way" tickets are still discounted tickets but cost more than the "Military Promotional" tickets.
Who Can Use These Tickets?
1 of the 6 must be used by the Service Member or their Spouse; the other 5 can be used by family members and friends.
The Service Member or Spouse must be using one of the tickets and must be with the travel party on the first day these tickets are used.
When Do They Expire? Are there blockout dates?
2025 tickets expire on December 19,2025.
2025 tickets have blockout dates of April 13-16, 2025, and November 23-29, 2025.
The tickets do NOT need to be used on consecutive days, and don't expire within a set time frame after the first use.
